Emily Horn, OD

Dr. Emily Horn was born in Winfield, Illinois and raised in Colleyville, TX.  She attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas, was selected for OBU’s Carl Goodson Honor program and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her bachelors of science degree.

Dr. Horn earned her doctorate of optometry degree as a Beta Sigma Kappa Honor graduate from the University of Houston College of Optometry.  During her training, she received multiple “Letters of Excellence” by her clinical faculty, was selected to the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, and was the recipient of the Odyssey Dry Eye Excellence Award.

Practicing for over a decade now, Dr. Horn is passionate about providing the best eye care for her pediatric population.  She continues to stay up-to-date with the latest technology in the treatment of common pediatric vision conditions and is a principal investigator for an ongoing data study looking at the use of a digital, dual-mechanism treatment for amblyopia.

Dr. Horn treats refractive eye disorders, ocular surface conditions, amblyopia and binocular vision disorders such as accommodative esotropia and convergence insufficiency.  She utilizes myopia management tools and fits specialty contact lenses such as pediatric soft contacts for infants after cataract surgery and scleral lenses for irregular corneas secondary to trauma or disease.

Outside of work, Dr. Horn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband and three children.  She is also passionate about volunteering with her church.
